You versus Universe

Hey there folks,

I don’t mean to be terse

But I’m not a big fan

Of the universe.

I love the mountains

Rocks and trees

Marvel at creatures

That swim in the seas.

Birds amaze me

Reptiles too

But none of ‘em ever said

“I love you.”

Planets are spinning

Galaxies gleam

But can they hear me

Laugh or scream?

Clouds drip rain

And grace the sky

But will they listen

When I cry?

Majestic Everest

Topped with snow

Doesn’t care

If I stub my toe.

But SomeOne knows

SomeOne sees

SomeOne who made

The rocks and trees.

Yes, there’s a Designer

There’s a Creator

You can choose to believe

In random fate, or

Open your mind to a master plan

And the Master behind it

The Son of Man.

Incomparable love

Went into it all

From “Let there be light”

Through Adam’s fall.

SomeOne is holding

This all together

Someone’s in charge

Of the crazy weather

SomeOne ain’t done

With flawed mankind

SomeOne who knows

Every thought in your mind.

There’s a lot I don’t get

And will never discover

But the gift of faith

Lets me know my Lover

Who heard my cry

The day of my birth

Whose mighty Hand

Rules the universe.

So I’ll give credit

Where credit is due

You’re the MasterMind

Lord, it’s You.

You made the universe

You write the story

When it all comes down

You get the glory.

I sing to the Powerful

Planet Spinner

So glad that He loves

Every doubting sinner.

So whether you

Believe it or not

When your universe crumbles,

God’s all you’ve got.
