FAMILY-FRIENDLY FOLK CONCERTS
Who hosts family-friendly folk concerts?
Event planners are looking for musical entertainment that appeals to all ages and gets the audience involved in a interactive group experience. Mrs. Kate fits the bill! Her humorous themes such as Ode to Leftovers and Mothers of Teenagers, Unite! draw in young and old alike. Her popular song, Florida Rain is helping mothers and children to bond together in a special, new way. She'll have the whole group on their feet doing the Hug-a-Bug-a-Boo by the end of the show.
Rich in values and easy-to-understand, Mrs. Kate's lyrics will tug at your heartstrings and linger with you for a long time. "Mrs. Kate" has the ability to get an audience singing along, from grandparents right on down to preschoolers. She will be happy to put together a program that is suitable and enriching for your group and its particular needs.
LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
"As a meeting planner for our Society's functions, I try very hard to identify entertainment that is not only enjoyable to our members, but also fits the character and mission of our organization. You certainly filled the bill......Your interaction with our group was exceptional and I could tell immediately that everyone was having a good time. Thanks again for making our picnic in Florida a winner...Please feel free to share this with others who are looking for wholesome family type of entertainment."
Bill Warner, Fraternal Vice President, Gleaner Life Insurance Society, MI
"Your performance was GREAT! The audience had a wonderful time, and parents were heard commenting, "My son/daughter is so shy--I can't believe he/she is singing and dancing along!" Your enthusiasm and spontaneity made an impression on everyone--children and adults! Thank you for making our Rose Petal Jam one to remember. Please feel free to share this with others who are looking for homespun, lively and entertaining family fun."
Sharon Celaya, Main Street Director, City of Thomasville, GA
"I want to thank you for your marvelous performance here at the YMCA. The children as well as the adults loved hearing your songs and stories. I had people calling and inquiring if you were going to perform for us again this year! You have made a great impression upon our members these last two years. I look forward to booking another performance with you for a Family Night Cookout again next summer."
Sharon L. Casperson, Member Services Director, Williams YMCA, Mandarin
"I am a full-time nanny who took my three-year-old charge to your show today
at the Ponte Vedra Library. I must tell you, that as an adult, I enjoyed
your show just as much as my little charge did!!! She followed along
with all the movements and singing. Usually she's very quiet in large groups.
Your program was fantastic, so creative and so open and energetic. It
was a tremendous blessing!!! I really loved everything about
your show, who you are as a person, and most importantly, the unique way
you are using your talent to minister to the world. At the
display table, I bought two of
your CD's, and later told my employer all about you. She, too, was thrilled
with how you are reaching out to this dark and confused world. Thank you for
everything you do. When I met you, it was
like meeting a life-long friend."
Katherine, Nanny, Jacksonville, FL
"Your program entertained our elder members as well as the youth we had invited from Bryceville Elementary School. Not only are your songs fun to sing along with, they give the listener a sense of the uniqueness of the culture we have here in northeast Florida. Although our county was considered "backwoods" just a few years ago, it was a fun time for those of us who grew up in Nassau County. Everyone enjoyed "Hot Boiled Peanuts" because we raised the peanuts in our gardens or on the farm and we boiled them for family gatherings. Again, thanks for your marvelous performance."
Betty Zeorlin, president, Bryceville Community Club
"There are few musicians that I could recommend to all age groups in the church. "Mrs. Kate" fits the bill! Under the pretense of reaching the children, she pulls the adults (even the grumps) into the fun and frivolity. With her wit, enthusiasm and superb musicianship, she develops a spontaneous rapport with her audience. Invite her to sing and you will be blessed."
Rev. Brian Shore, SonFest Chapel, Boynton Beach, Florida
"Kate is a delightful musician with a fresh, new style. Her lyrics are personal and unique. Her concerts are uplifting and frequently inspire smiles from the audience."
Robert S. Mansell, Professor, University of Florida, Gainesville
"Kate sings with her voice, heart and soul. Her voice smiles and her energy is contagious. Her lyrics are straight from the heart and represent true life experience, so it's easy to relate to them. She spreads joy and love wherever she goes and puts her songs into the hearts of people who hear her. It's a truly uplifting experience."
Sharon Doty, Florida Folk Festival attendee, Sebastian, FL
