Mrs. Kate's Favorites

Favorite Color:  Red.  I love to eat red foods, too, like radishes, beets, tomatoes and red onions.  Have you tried Raspberry Sorbet? Red is beautiful!

Favorite Sports Team:  Jacksonville Jaguars, just because I live near Jacksonville.

Favorite Tree:  Those great big Oak Trees in my back yard, with Spanish Moss hanging from them. 

Favorite Food: Tomato Quiche with Mashed Potatoes. Lima Cheese Pie runs a close second. What about Vegetarian Enchiladas?  I love to cook!

Favorite Man: Tim Carpenter, my husband.  He's the very best and I love him so much!

Favorite Book:  The Bible.  I have been reading it EVERY DAY for over 35 years.  Awesome Book!

Favorite Flower: Sunflower.  Every year I grow them in my garden just to see how tall and pretty they get.  I get a big kick out of them, because I am so short. 

Favorite Animal: Armadillo, only because it has helped make me famous.  I actually hate the way they tear up my yard, but they are kind of cute!

Favorite Movies, Books and Television Programs: Anything with a good story line, a little romance, and good values.  I can't stand bad words and immorality in entertainment.  I have always believed that it is the artist's job to uplift the human spirit and to help people to become all God wants them to be.  So I believe in reading and watching things that will help me become a better person.  By the way, I don't watch much television, and I rarely listen to the radio.

Favorite Author:  George MacDonald.  His stories inspire me to be a better Christian. Check him out!

Favorite Musical Group: Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I grew up loving Peter, Paul & Mary and I still enjoy their songs and performances.  I think that they were a great influence on my songwriting. I like to get the audience involved just like they always did.

Favorite Hobby:  Quilting.  I can lose myself for hours in a pile of fabric scraps!

Favorite Hobby # 2: Vegetarian Cooking and having company.  I always say, "Food tastes better when it is shared with good friends."  We have company at least once a week, and sometimes 3 times a week!

Favorite Kind of Mail:  Fan Mail!  I love to hear from folks who love my music.  I also get excited every time I get an order for an album, because I love to share my songs with lots of people. Click Here to send Email Mrs. Kate!

What I Don't Like: I don't like spending too much time in front of the computer.  I am not a techie and I get easily frustrated with technology.  That's when I call for my Favorite Man (see above). 

What Else I Don't Like:  I can't stand lying. I really love to tell the truth, and to have the truth told to me.  When a kid or grownup tells me a lie, I really get mad about it.
