They say that an elephant never forgets, But Tim-Bob and Kate don’t resemble that yet. In fact, every year we get worse and worse! “Where is my phone?” “Have you seen my purse?” So lest we forget and fail to recall The things that made this one the best year of all, We’ll begin with our trip to Chiang Mai. Located north in the land of the Thai. God directed us to a school named “Grace”. We preached and sang for the kids in that place. Not only there, but the orphanage, too And the Hmong in the highlands. Oh, what a view! We paid for a ride on a pachyderm; A hug from his trunk made both of us squirm. But folks, that wasn’t our only excursion. We traveled up north for a double version Of family reunion with Carps, big and small. Isaac and Liam had learned how to crawl. Those boys and our Gracie are Kate’s inspiration. NanaTunes is her new music creation. She sings and Tim preaches; God opens each door: Gibson City, Illinois! Never’d been there before! But most of our time is at home, meeting needs. Our humble flock grows, and so do our weeds. The church is a blessing; our garden’s a chore, But we won’t give it up; we just come back for more. Like an elephant raising his trunk in salute, We have a joy horn that we’d like to toot. Our God is so faithful; He sprays us with peace, Totes us on His back through this jungle, and meets Our needs with His ever abundant supply Of wisdom and love that money can’t buy. Gray is the elephant; powerful, strong. He chomps and he stomps to the beat of our song. As we lift up our hands and sing Hallelu We send you our hugs from the Carpenter zoo. May Jesus protect you; He’s got real thick skin To keep evil out, and His goodness within.
